Our Story

It Started with One Van and One Hot Tub

Rent-A-Tub was born out of a simple idea: everyone deserves a bit of luxury in their own backyard. Based in Carlow, in the heart of Ireland's South East, we loaded up a van and started bringing hot tubs to families, couples, and party hosts across the region.

The demand was instant. What started as weekend hot tub hire quickly grew as customers asked for more — bouncy castles for the kids, inflatable slides for birthdays, and marquees for communions and garden parties. So we delivered.

We teamed up with Grand Occasional Rental, a team of event specialists, to take things to the next level. Together, we now offer full-service event hire — from intimate garden setups to large-scale wedding marquee packages with lighting, flooring, and all the extras.

Timeline

Milestones so far

2023 — A Man with a Van

Started in Carlow with a single hot tub and a Transit van. Delivered our first hire to a birthday party in Kilkenny. The reaction said it all — we were onto something.

2023 — Growing the Fleet

Added more hot tubs to keep up with demand. Expanded across Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, and Waterford. Word of mouth did the heavy lifting.

2024 — Bouncy Castles & Inflatables

Customers kept asking: "Do you do bouncy castles too?" So we added a full range of inflatables — castles, slides, obstacle courses, and combos for kids' parties and family events.

2025 — Teaming Up with Grand Occasional Rental

Partnered with event specialists to offer marquees, lighting, flooring, and full event packages. Weddings, corporate events, communions — now we could do it all.

2025 & beyond — Nationwide & Growing

Delivering across all 32 counties. On a mission to become Ireland's largest event hire company — with the same personal touch we started with on day one.
